Abstract
The Bren student project is part of Professor Oran Young’s
collaborative activities linking the Bren School with our partners
at the School of the Environment at Nanjing University (NJU) in
China under the general theme of low-carbon development. There
is no prospect of making progress in addressing the problem of
climate change without finding ways for the United States and China to
cooperate in efforts to reduce GHG emissions. To strengthen the
relationship between the student groups collaborating on green
building research, the students from China are visiting the Bren
School to participate in workshops and share research progress.
This discussion includes local green building experts sothat the two
groups can share current challenges and present the Bren community
with a broad perspective of issues in the study of environmentally
friendly buildings.
