Biographical statement

Over the past 25 years, Steve Blank has been part of or co-founded eight Silicon Valley start-ups (MIPS, Zilog, Rocket Science, SuperMac, Convergent Technologies, Ardent, and ESL) running the gamut from semiconductors and video games to personal computers and supercomputers. His last company was E.piphany, an enterprise software company.

Steve is on the board of two private companies: the online marketplace CafePress.com. and IMVU, a 3D IM social network. He also serves on the California Coastal Commission and the board of the Peninsula Open Space Trust and Audubon National, and is Chairman of Aubudon California.

Steve currently teaches entrepreneurship at UC Berkeley's Haas Business School, the joint Berkeley/Columbia MBA program, and at Stanford's Graduate School of Engineering. He teaches a methodology for starting and managing marketing, sales and business development in high-technology start-ups.
