Bill McKibben is best known for his work on climate-change issues, including his treatise on global warming, The End of Nature. He contributes to various magazines, including The New Yorker, Harper’s, and The Atlantic Monthly. His latest book, Deep Economy, addresses the shortcomings of the growth economy and offers a challenging but realistic scenario for a hopeful future. This is the final speaker in a four-part "Global Warming: Science & Society" lecture series presented by UCSB Arts & Lectures and UCSB partners.
