Joshua Simmons, Environmental Law

Joshua Simmons manages the Tribal Environmental Office for the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians. In that position, he addresses a wide range of projects in the areas of natural resources, solid and hazardous waste, renewable energy, alternative fuels, and green buildings/operations across the commercial, residential, and governmental sectors. He earned his BA in Environmental Science from Assumption College in, Worcester, Mass., in 2003. After more than a year of study in Australia and Italy, he attended the University of San Diego School of Law from 2003-2006 and passed the California state bar exam upon graduating. He then attended the Bren School, where he received his Master of Environmental Science degree in 2008.
