During the past 26 years, Dr. Forsberg has lived and worked in the Brazilian Amazon, where his research has focused on the ecology, limnology, biogeochemistry and management of large tropical river systems. He has published 66 scientific papers, co-authored five books and written numerous technical, workshop or committee reports. He teaches graduate courses in Limnology and Aquatic Ecosystems in INPA’s Graduate Program and has been major advisor to 17 M.S. and 11 Ph.D. students. Dr. Forsberg is currently on sabbatical at the Bren School of Environmental Science and Management at UCSB.
