Tam Hunt is a renewable-energy law and policy expertwho owns and runs Community Renewable Solutions LLC, a renewable-energy consulting and project-development company. He also contributes substantially to state policy, both at the state legislature and, in particular, at the California Public Utilities Commission in San Francisco, where he has taken part in numerous proceedings related to renewable energy, energy efficiency and climate change. He was lead author of the Santa Barbara Community Environmental Council's A New Energy Direction, a blueprint for Santa Barbara County to wean itself from fossil fuels by 2030.Hunt received his law degree from the UCLA School of Law in 2001; while at UCLA, he was managing director of the Journal for International Law and Foreign Affairs. He is a regular columnist at Renewable Energy World and EnergyPulse.
