Biography
I'm a PhD student at the Bren School. I study snow and avalanche science. I'm currently funded through an NSF Hydrological Sciences Grant to study sintering mechanisms in the snowpack. Prior to becoming a student at Bren, I worked on the Mammoth Mountain Ski Patrol for two years as a ski patroller, and then for two additional years as a snow analyst. I've also worked as a rock and alpine climbing guide in the Cascades of California, Oregon, and Washington. I graduated magna cum laude in economics Bowdoin College in 2003.
