Biography

Tammy Taub is the Assistant Director of Career Development and Alumni Relations for the Bren School. Tammy’s responsibilities include working with David Parker, the Director of Career Development, to provide services to current students and alumni in areas such as job placement, internship development, career advisement and training, and professional development. Tammy co-facilitates the Career Development workshops and works directly with students to edit resumes and cover letters. She is also happy to meet with students to conduct mock interviews and discuss complex career issues including job and internship placement decisions, salary negotiation techniques, stalling tactics, etc. Tammy manages the alumni relations program and the Career Development website.

Tammy joined the Bren School in the summer of 2005. Tammy has a Master of Arts degree in Education with a single subject teaching credential and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a double minor in Exercise Health Science and Athletic Coaching. She has experience working as a counselor, teacher, and mediator. In addition to her professional background, Tammy is quite active in sports and has competed in softball, swimming, running (marathons), and rowing, all in the Santa Barbara community. She was a member of the Varsity Rowing Team at U.C. Santa Barbara and currently participates in UCSB’s Transportation Alternative Program as a full-time bike commuter.
