Dr. Madeleine McKinnon, Senior Director, Monitoring & Evaluation, Moore Center for Science & Oceans, Conservation International (CI)

Dr. McKinnon leads the monitoring and reporting of CI's institutional achievements across its global programs. She provides scientific leadership to the organization on applications of performance measurement, impact evaluation, and evidence synthesis for conservation. She earned her PhD in program evaluation from the University of Queensland, Australia, and has a master’s in applied ecology and conservation from the University of East Anglia. She did her undergraduated work at the University of Edinburgh. Dr. McKinnon is on the Board of the Conservation Measures Partnership and is a principal investigator of a Science for Nature and People (SNAP) working group at the UCSB National Center for Ecological Analysis and Synthesis (NCEAS) forcused on evidence-based conservation.
