Go to Tools => Accounts, an "Internet Accounts" window
should open.
Click on the account listed under the "Mail" tab (there should only be one listed) and click "Properties."
Click on the "General" tab.
In the space under "Mail Account" enter Your Bren Mail (as in Nina's Bren Mail or Ben's Bren Mail).
Under "User Information" fill in your name, email address, and email address that you want replies to be sent. Note: Generally you would want this set the same as your bren email address unless you happen to check your email on a different account such as hotmail and only use your Bren mail account for sending certain emails.
Check the box by "Include this account when..." at the bottom of the window.

Click on the "Servers" tab.
"My incoming mail server" should list POP3.
Enter mail.bren.ucsb.edu in the Incoming and Outgoing mail fields
Enter your username and password
IMPORTANT! Click "Remember password" or you will have to enter your username and password each time you hit "send and receive
Click the "Connection" tab
"Connect using my local area network [LAN]" should be checked.
Click the "Advanced" tab
Leave the Port Numbers as:
Outgoing mail: 25, Incoming mail: 110

Click "Apply" and "OK" then close the "Internet Accounts" window
