Mission
The Bren School computing environment:
- maintains a stable, integrated computing resource;
- supports a uniform baseline of services for all participants;
- allows participant-controlled extensions;
- provides a relevant knowledge base of computing expertise;
- encourages and incorporates innovative solutions, especially those resulting from the synthesis of environmental science and management.
Computing Committee
The Bren School Computing Resource Committee (crc@bren.ucsb.edu):
- owns, interprets, and evolves the Bren School
Computing Environment Policy;
- authorizes a computing administration to implement this policy;
- constitutes ad-hoc subcommittees or working groups to implement
specific projects;
- represents the needs and concerns of the computing environment
participants;
- reviews the implementation and performance of the computing administration and environment.
