1) How do I write to a CD-R?

Go to Start -> Program Files -> Utilities -> Burn a CD or DVD -> Nero Smart  Start.

Under the star is a selection for "Make Data Disc"  In the window that pops up select add to add all of the files you want to put on the disk and select next.

In the next window make sure that "Allow files to be added later" is NOT checked.

Select burn and complete the process.

2) How do I write to a CD-RW?

CAUTION: CD-RW’s require a special driver to work, and machines that you attempt to transfer the data to at a later time may not have a CD-RW drive. Also, CD's created with one application may not be readable by other applications.
A CD-RW, must be formatted before you can write to it. In Roxio Easy CD Creator, you can choose to format the CD using Direct CD. This will take about 30 minutes. Once this has been done, you can drag and drop files to the CD.
