Arturo A. Keller, Ph.D. - Research

Research Interests

  • Experimental studies of the transport of pollutants in the environment and their fate (storage, transformation, assimilation, etc.).
  • Develop and apply numerical models for predicting fate and transport of pollutants, including multiphase modeling of NAPL transport and biodegradation, as well as watershed scale modeling of chemical transport.
  • Develop technologies for containment, remediation, and monitoring of organic pollutants.
  • Develop tools for choosing alternative technologies based on site-specific characteristics.
  • Develop risk-based solutions to environmental contamination issues.
  • Design better environmental management strategies
